@creckling That's too bad. A pet peeve of mine is bands playing short sets. Although that outfit doesn't have the catalog or repertoire to play much longer.

@creckling I saw Nanci Griffith play in the early 2000’s. She did a scant one hour set and then a one-song encore. This was for a seated show at $45 a ticket. I emailed the promoter the next day and complained. He gave me a full refund! Apparently he had a 90 minute set stipulated in her contract which she didn't fulfill and so he didn't have to pay her. 😂

@creckling Another story is when the Avett Brothers were just starting to blow up. We live in NC and had seen them many times. They were famous for long raucous shows. But right as they started getting some national attention, suddenly the shows got WAY shorter. We emailed the band's management relentlessly. And not just one or two people, it was a coordinated effort.

They got the message because the next tour the shows were back to what we were used to. Complaining works.
