Gestern noch niedrigschwellig über Nebelwetter gejammert. Der letzte Morgen im alten Jahr hat dann plötzlich feierlichst Sonne geliefert. Euch allen fürs neue Jahr ganz viel zauberhafte, lichte Freude.

Yesterday I was low-key complaining about the too thick fog. But the last morning of the old year suddenly delivered the most wonderful winter weather. I wish you all many similar moments of surprise, of bright joy for the new year.

I try to avoid the "look where I am and what I'm currently experiencing" instagram shot. But last evening was one for the record. And since I never post selfies online this was the next best thing.

Yeah, I noticed that you do avoid it, and I was aware of how out-of-style it is for you when writing my comment. Which is exactly why I did: I find, in this instance, the camera there adds artistic value to the shot. It doesn't feel like "here's what I'm up to, ye bitches" at all, but rather summons a feeling of experiencing this peaceful beauty as I'd imagine the abstract photographer® feeling. Makes one feel present there in the moment, if you know what I mean.
