Amazing that the London fireworks dared to show the British flag. Naturally they had the usual identity politics crap included, there seemed to be quite a few things this year. I was underwhelmed by the spectacle though.
This is another year where I start to question why I am bothering to watch the King's speech or to watch the London New Year's celebration. I keep hoping this is the year where I am pleasantly surprised rather than having my usual expectations met. These people show how clueless they are when it comes to their messaging to the people. It's just not written or created with me in mind, I am clearly not their intended audience. Who that is, I don't know because I have never met them.

I keep hearing that London is for everyone but I don't believe it because I don't think or feel that London is there with/for me in mind. So how can this be true? Maybe I'm just some exception though. But if you are for everyone then you are for no one, you will never satisfy everyone.
It's a bold strategy to open London up to everyone... but how is that going for them? Well, don't look at the crime stats... or any stats for that matter.

@augustus
If you didn't watch the New Year's London fireworks show then you did the smart thing. I got to watch their usual propaganda and it feels like they did more this year than last year but I could be wrong there as it has been a year since I saw the last one.
