@leogdion @mattiem Marco Arment talked about this a few years ago, where he was using SQLite on the main thread for simple queries with known complexity bounds and people gasped and guffawed. It's good to design your apps so they don't even enter a loading state unnecessarily.

@JonathanGerlach @leogdion Yeah that’s tricky. As soon as you are touching the disk, you have unpredictable latencies. Very tough to get a good idea on the tradeoffs. But he’s got way more experience with that system than I do.
