Today I came out to the backyard and there was a dead (drowned?) rat on the backyard table where I usually eat my breakfast on days when it's not raining.
It was exactly in front of the chair exactly where I put my place setting when I sit there. It was not there yesterday afternoon when I checked on the state of things in the backyard in the rain.
I'm in a horrid roommate situation.

@thesquirrelfish if the animal doesn’t having any signs of injury, it might have been poisoned. Sometimes those poisons make the animals seek out exposed places bc they get extremely dehydrated and are looking for water. Might be worth it to get animal control to take it away and test it. If it’s been poisoned, you don’t want that going into the environment.
