Even though I watched the talk about pyrotechnics at #38c3 (and agree that we can keep fireworks for at least the 31th) .... I still cannot wait until I finally don't have to hear people senselessly blowing fireworks up because it goes "boom". It's not even the 31th but I regularly hear explosions since a week.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I would love not having to flinch every 5 minutes.

@hannah When I was living in Berlin, where fireworks use is excessive, I was visiting my parents in the countryside every year for at least a week around New Year’s Eve to avoid the sheer amount of 24h explosion noises in that city at that time of the year.
