Lenovo Thinkpad W520. On its third life. Was a corporate CAD machine around 6 years ago or more, then Ubuntu for a home security camera setup, now Debian 12 for hopefully a media server running #plex. Ripping some Christmas CDs for next year because the streaming services are terrible.

@VE7WYC I inherited one of those from work when I retired a decade ago and it remains the most powerful machine in the house.

I had to replace the keyboard and fix a pinched wire leading to one of the speakers, but it works as well as it ever did.

I even have the docking station. It makes a nice "lab" machine, running Linux Mint Debian Edition.

Long live the ThinkPads.

@rationaldoge Haha yes, that's how I got mine. The new manager says controls on recycling laptops has tightened up a lot since then!

@VE7WYC I'm running Bookworm as one of my daily drivers on a Dell Inspiron of about that vintage, note that I never have enough computers! :blobcatgiggle2:
