The New York Times's Erin Griffith on Evan Williams's social networking startup, Mozi: 'Organizing contacts by location and travel plans may appeal to a certain type of jet-setting tech worker whose friends are spread around the world. Mozi’s founders hope it will be just as useful for people who don’t travel but want to know when their friends are in town. I first joined Twitter in 2007, thanks to following the kinds of weblog authors who attended SXSW. I then followed Williams's Medium with interest, but was disappointed. That single paragraph is the fastest I've gone from 'don't really need that' to 'definitely don't want that'. Not everything needs to be a startup, man.
