I'm getting there with a digiscoping process using @halide

  1. Accept it's a weird setup that will never be as good as proper camera + long lens. Light, and distance are key factors, and keeping it all steady is harder. If I'm out with my scope, it’s convenient tho!

  1. Turn off AF and enable 'Focus Peaking’ - use the scope’s focus ring to tweak until you see the green lines letting you know it's in focus.

  1. Release the shutter with the Apple Watch App

Sometimes you get lucky!

(This is using an adapter like PhoneSkope to connect a phone to the scope's eyepiece. These adapters cover up the wide and ultrawide lenses, and for some reason Apple doesn't let you use just the telephoto lens for photos - it will always show black. So you need an app like @halide to get around that limitation, and allow for manual focusing)
