Okay, #SaintPaulMN. I need to bike from East River Rd to Lake Street every day. My choices are:

• carry bike up the 50 stairs to the bridge (hah!)

• take the lane, and ride 8mph up this hill with rush-hour car traffic backed-up behind me

• walk the bike up the unshoveled sidewalk

Based on maintenance, it seems like your plan is #2.

@NNN Don’t they require residents to shovel the snow off sidewalks within 24 hours? And if so, they should be held to the same requirement.
