Toot

I got a spare phone and want to try mobile Linux again. But I am unsure which OS provides good hardware support.

Is there a tool where I can just input the device (OnePlus 7t Pro / hotdog) and see what's available?

Some installer would be nice, too...

@alerich Unfortunately, none of them really do.

In theory, Halium & libhybris distros should Just Work, but it's not quite that simple in practice.

You should use mainline Linux for mobile Linux, but most devices don't support it or potentially support it (either due to mainline support or a community-made mainline kernel fork for the same SoC) but haven't been tested with it yet.

@alerich https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Devices is probably the useful resource you're looking for.

@hexaheximal thanks, I checked that. Next to nothing for that device. No sensor seems to work...
