I always consider it "Santa for adults" where you learn most of the things we're sold are false, keeping people glued to the idea of lopsided society; using built-in social dynamics. History shows it has always been this way.
As a few others mention, don't let it drag you down. Finding good people, good communities, organizing, supporting and putting effort towards the right folks is the best way to move through life. Deprive the shitty things and people of your time, money, and attention.
