Yesterday #PHP 8.4.2 was tagged, here's the diff between latest release & the previous tag:
https://github.com/php/php-src/compare/php-8.4.1...php-8.4.2
It's a pity that php-src
repo does not have proper Github releases with a changelog... There IS changelog on the official page though, but still not updated 🙄.

@codito Tags aren't quite the same as releases. We might release from a tag, we might not.
Once it is released, it will be announced on php.net, with the ChangeLog updated. Releases are usually on Thursdays.

@derickr Thanks for the info. Still, proper releases on Github would be great 😊.

@codito @derickr Why?
Not disagreeing, but why does it matter? I almost never find them useful.

@Crell @codito It would help to show whether we did actually make a release from a tag, which helps the "PHP is released because there is a tag fallacy". Maybe we should add something to the RM guides to make a release, by adding a link to the announcement on php.net?
