So is the lnaddress options file is still a thing or people already decided that it wasn't such a good idea? I just finished implementing that lookup in our Android code 😅

@ericpp @algrid That’s right. I’m sorry Alex. We had to ditch it and just stick with lnurlp. I’m going to update the documentation for it as soon as I can.

So, “lnaddress” just means lnurlp now.

@dave @ericpp ok, it didn't require a big effort anyway, so not a big deal 😀 Having a simple lnurlp which always means bolt11 makes the logic a bit simpler.

@ericpp @algrid Being more clear, there are two possible valueRecipient type attributes you'll see in the wild: "node" and "lnaddress":

node = keysend

lnaddress = BOLT11 lnurlp lookup

The method attribute on the value tag is deprecated.

@dave @algrid Do we want to add keysend addresses as well (e.g. http://getalby.com/.well-known/keysend/ericpp ) or are those being deprecated with keysend? I'm not sure how many wallets support them outside of Alby and Fountain.
