@fedora @AsahiLinux Does Asahi support proper suspend yet, or still only s2idle?

@crzwdjk @fedora @AsahiLinux This is a red herring that people keep repeating. You don't want "proper suspend", you want lower idle power consumption, and that is what we have to fix first.
"Proper suspend" support, if it's even worth it at that point, will only come after the idle PM issues have been fixed, pretty much by definition.
Whether suspend is s2idle or something deeper is an implementation detail that is not relevant to end users. What is relevant to end users is what the power consumption is during suspend, regardless of how it's implemented.

@marcan @fedora @AsahiLinux I have non-apple machines that only have s2idle and their suspend power consumption is also awful, enough that it is actually a problem for me sometimes. If you can get s2idle working well, that would certainly be good, but I am not sure if that's actually been done.

@crzwdjk @fedora @AsahiLinux Your non-Apple machines are not Apple machines and therefore your power management experience with them does not apply to Apple machines, which have completely different hardware.
We know idle PM goes much deeper on Apple hardware because (surprise) macOS does it. If Intel machines can't do it well, that's an Intel machine problem.

@fedora
While good news, it has been the case for quite a while now. Running brilliantly.
