Nice article!
I haven't spent much time in #NetBSD, but I do think it has the prettiest default X11 setup of the major 3 BSDs. #OpenBSD's FVWM setup is quite plain (though usable), and FreeBSD doesn't give you X11 in base.

None, usually. To be perfectly honest I usually use KDE, but when I want minimal then the defaults are perfect.
