The @w3c recently published a set of ethical principles

https://www.w3.org/TR/ethical-web-principles/

to help shape the ongoing development of the Web.

My humble suggestion is all companies that benefit from the web adopt them too and these form the social contract of the Web.

@johnallsopp @w3c we need so much more broadly recognised voluntary self-regulation. "Proudly AI-free" is also a badge I'd like to be able to slap on a site
