My wife just made one of the most amazing #desserts
It's a rose date custard!
Picture being in the biggest rose garden. Now picture piling your mouth with hundreds of the most scented rose pedals suffused with dates!

1/2 cup dried crushed rose petals
3 cups almond milk
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger
2 teaspoons rice flour
1 cup minced dates
3 tablespoons pine nuts
Dash of salt
Optional garnish: fresh rose petals
Soak rose petals in almond milk for 10 minutes
Add cinnamon and ginger. Cook 3-5 min over low heat
Add rice flour and still till thickened
Add dates and pine nuts
Pour into individual custard cups or small bowl. Chill.
Just before serving, sprinkle with a little bit of salt if you wish.
Garnish with fresh rose petals, if you like, or follow one of the suggestions opposite.
Serves 6-8
