This is the type of breakthrough in #battery #technology that will make traction batteries a commodity.

With standards for interoperability, you could buy a battery and move it around from car to car, generation after generation. Lowest cost to consumers. Ample electricity storage reserve sitting in your driveway, ready to be connected to your home with the plug in of the cord.

@rhymerepartee Our #1912Detroit #electricvehicle had a battery that lasted 8 decades (!) and in simpler times. This is all possible!

We rebuilt our #battery packs with nickle iron technology a few years ago. They don't have the energy density of Li-ion but they worked extremely reliably for their day.
