Can anyone recommend to me a free online tool for checking compatibility between hardware components? It's not like I can't find one in general - I can't find one where I can select the components I have because some are not available anymore. And of course these tools are made by companies who want to sell you stuff, so...
I need a new CPU but my other hardware is roughly 4-ish year old, so I can't just pick anything and assume it works. However, I have yet to find a pc builder or compatibility tool that includes even all the big basic parts I own like main board, GPU, let alone hard drive, sound stuff etc.
