I very often start my sentences with "I". I learned in school that you shouldn't do that. That it's bad style to start sentences with "I". But how else am I supposed to do it? It just feels most natural. But every time I write a longer text where I begin most sentences with "I", I feel like a stupid idiot who can't speak english or german properly.

@ninafelwitch Interesting - that’s not a piece of stylistic guidance I received, at least in school in Scotland studying English.

Also I think you should feel empowered to write in any language you wish in the style that most suits you.
