Pretty good read from Fastmail. Love this kind of writeup.

Particularly with the DNS random prefix attacks, my team used to (manually!) mitigate those at Cloudflare. Those mitigations were eventually automated so I'm surprised it didn't work for them. Maybe it's not on for DNS Firewall?
