And again it was an "include" in the sshd_config that caused some trouble. Still impressive how fast the bad login attempts accumulate on a fresh ip.

The attempted connections to sshd are constant.

There has to be a large bot farm that constantly tries every IPv4 address possible. It is nuts.

It may be faster to check your log than to run ping to see if your internet connection is working.
