It has taken 5 sensors in a #HomeAssistant automation to detect Amazon drivers dumping parcels.
Driveway detects motion
Porch detects motion (and driveway is active)
Door not open
Doorbell not rang
Letterbox not opened
Then there's an Amazon parcel, or a cat has crossed both motion sensors.
I could run POE ethernet, install a camera, install and learn a person detecting camera container app to rule out the cat but it hasn't happened yet and that would be a whole extra project and expense.

@calv I’m in the UK so wouldn’t work for me. UK postal service does actually ring the bell so not as bad as Amazon.

@codechimp if you get emails from Amazon saying delivered that portion may still work. Of course your cascading sensor checks will be faster than the email monitoring that integration has.

@calv It get's more complicated when you have unexpected gifts from others so don't get the emails, especially at this time of the year.
I think there's no one solution but multiple help!
