I'm still building on a Mill Database based on #openstreetmap and I've just completed the filtering. It's so cool to have the little numbers next to reach entry, and it was rough to figure out!
Each filter needed to take into account the other filters so the numbers are correct, but then not take into account itself.
I'll have to cache it though, since it does 147 queries currently to get all the little numbers. 😅

@thomastospace Do you know the Mill Database (https://www.molendatabase.nl/)? Lots of mills in the Netherlands on OpenStreetMap refer to it. And on http://draaiendemolens.nl/ you can find a small number of them and see them spinning.

@molenaar I knew about the first, not about the second! How does it check if a windmill is currently spinning?
My goal is to update OSM from various sources including MolenDatabase.nl. There's tons of high quality sources all over the internet, but sometimes things like #osm tags are incorrect. My goal is to mass-check that, and improve #osm.

@thomastospace There is a little device inside those mills that notices the teeth of a cogwheel. The device then calculates the cogwheel speed into the speed of the sails.
Where the map says "-", there is no contact with the device (electricity switched off, for example). Otherwise, it shows the speed as a number.

@molenaar That's perfect! Where can I find more info on the device? Was thinking of making that myself 😅
