What would you expect 'natural vanillin' to be?

  1. Vanillin extracted from vanilla pods.

  1. The above and/or vanillin extracted from other plant sources.

  1. Ferulic acid produced by the hydrolysis of γ-oryzanol found in rice bran oil soapstock, fermented with other chemicals in a bioreactor, then purified.

@geoffl Voted on what I would think "natural" means. I have no problem with the additive from any of the means.

@tautology That was my intention, to see what people think natural means v what might be sold as natural. I probably should have included a forth option with the most common production method for synthetic vanillin.
