I ran in trouble using @delta .

I used to run a group chat with some of my family. Because some members didn't know their mail credentials but I added them anyways to the group, delta chat deactivated encryption.

That wasn't perfect but I was fine with this.

Now two of them got a new phone and because I didn't want to perform the whole google-2fa-thing ("oh gosh, no, I don't know my google password..."), I decided to create new account in delta chat on nine.testrun.org (?)?

Today one of them tried to send a message to the group and delta chat says testrun NEEDS encryption and the user has to exchange keys with everyone.

I don't know when and if she will meet all those people to do so. Can I change that behaviour? Or might there be another solution?

@deusfigendi you should re-add her to the group, then she will get the keys of everyone else :) if this doesn't work, she might have an outdated version.

I added the new account to the group after I created it. But not everyone in the group HAS a key.

The version should be modern since this is a new phone with a new installation.

@deusfigendi This is maybe an easier way to transfer their profiles to their new device. if the old one is still available, you can transfer them by scanning a QR code: https://delta.chat/help#multiclient

@delta Yah, that happened I think "Phillip did that for me" but since the login to her gmail did not do I assumed the 2FA-thingy broke and since I could not renew it I created that new account.

Now I'm no longer at her location 😕

I think we can live for a while she can read the group an send ME messages and I can relay them.
