Played '#VelvetGlove by @sarahdoom again this week with @curiouscat and @znswanderer (and Iwan).

This time we went bleak social drama. It was winter in a steel town. The Cleavers were a working class girl gang from the same high rise. Just before christmas an electricity bill arrived. Delivered by shady mobster like people. Who roughed up the girls.

They decided to make the money somehow by breaking into a steel magnate's villa.

Then they had to sell to a shady gang.

They never rumbled with another gang, avoided conflict and got away with just barely enough money to pay the bill, not enough for presents or shoes.

I enjoyed the bleak rust belt setting and describing the cold.

A series of three double-1s being rolled started us of rough and then cautious decisions were made and hard compromises accepted.

It worked out that way but it allowed to show a lot of the urgency of poverty in the game.
