Les abelles del gènere Nomada pertanyen a un gènere d'abelles que practiquen el cleptoparasitisme, d'aquí que se les conegui com abelles cucut. A la fotografia es pot veure una abella d'aquest gènere capturada per una aranya cranc (Synema globosum)
