Hey web designers, here's a challenge I've been trying to solve for a while now!
In my experience, links to podcast episodes rarely work well. Usually, they link to a webpage with a player, but who listens to podcasts on web pages!? Or they link to Spotify. I often end up copying the name of the show, pasting it into my podcast app's search and looking for the episode.

The situation is that we want to make it easy for website visitors to listen to podcasts in which our organization's founder is interviewed. Just to be clear: we don't have a podcast ourselves. We want to link to other people's podcasts. And I want it to be easy for our visitors to get specific episodes of these podcasts into their podcast listening apps.

Now a simple link doesn't really invite listening. I want something that clearly shows "click here to listen". But a play button would be misleading, as we'd need to link to another page first. That other website could be of the podcast's, it could Spotify, and it could also link in-app to podcatchers like Overcast. A side quest here is that we somehow have to offer endless podcatcher apps without overwhelming the user, who's probably using only one of them (Spotify or YouTube ...).

Do you know any UI patterns that do this well?
