Ok, that's exciting.

Moved from mastodon.nz. The transfer somehow ate

a) all my settings (eg my 2k+ filters)

b) all my following

Despite exporting everything before I started (utterly useless information there).

So, looks like I'll need to manually refollow everything. Please be patient.

@thrashcardiom Ugh. Short version: I replied to a random post (with a link), said I couldn't see the link. Promptly got sarcastically & racially abused. I said the guy was a bit of a dick (an insult, apparently). Someone else jumped in & (again) racially abused me & told me to fuck off. I said that instance appeared to attract assholes. NZ mods sided with both of them (who both reported me). First person was their instance mod (so, zero value in reporting).

I’m glad you’re ok, & hopefully that’s the end of it. But yeah, I’m pissed off on your behalf.

I can’t work that one out, especially considering not too many white guys get racially abused. I thought the mods would know you better than that.

You’re away from there, which is the main thing.

I can put up a post letting people know you’ve moved servers if that would be helpful? Lmk.

@heyrochelle eh, should be ok - I think the system pulls most things across. So, tons of configuration required, but whatevs, I can do that.

On the scale of "racial abuse" it was nothing. Just weird to make "I clicked a link and it didn't work" into something about the colour of my skin. But ok, I'm not swilling in that brain, so I'm fine (relatively).
