Setting up a new Mac and wishing Target Disk Mode was still a thing. I get the technical reasons they dropped it but sharing a drive via macOS Recovery Mode is not nearly as nice. I want direct drive access so I can backup/restore with SuperDuper!

@brandon Wonder if Carbon Copy Cloner does a good job with this kind of copying task …

@ernie Possibly, never used that one. In the end I just used SuperDuper to clone a partition to an external drive, and then again from the external drive to the new computer 🫤
