Can we please stop with email/SMS for MFA codes and that being the only option? Let me use my password manager's OTP and/or a passkey.

@ryanhg UGH yes. Everyone is now moving on to adding SMS 2FA automatically and I hate it so much. United recently added this. All my banks do this. Asinine.
At least e-mail is a little better, but the ones that will only do SMS are on my shit list

@motoridersd My biggest complaint with the email ones are when they're for work and macOS/iOS can’t grab them from my work email client for auto-fill purposes. But SMS only when SIM swapping is a thing? Absolutely not.
My bank does SMS or generating a code within their own app…if I wanted to open the mobile app I'd just use that to do whatever I was going to do. 🤦🏻♂️

@ryanhg one of my banks allows a Push Notification to the app, which is easy enough to just open and approve on my phone, but like you said, why do I need to open the app if I'm trying to access it on my computer?
