@alexh At this point perhaps concerted action would move the needle somewhat: to have academics worldwide simultaneously all write to their local newspapers about the fabricated university rankings. And to speak to undergraduates and graduate students about it. To explain how the game is played, how the rankings are cooked, how the blackmail is working, who pushes the levers, who benefits. Five minutes at a time in each lecture while students are receptive and ready to be amused by the antics of the adult society, or disgusted.

@alexh way to go. I just ignored them, but this is better. Our directorate implored us in a circular to all research and teaching staff to participate in the survey and jazz up the stats. Embarrassing.
