So I decided in fit of irrational exuberance the other day to update the Version of #Kodi on the old #android box. Went from 20.0 to 21.1.

I dont know why I did it. I hate upgrading software, especially when everything is working fine, but I did it. After upgrading, about half of the video files in our library no longer played smoothly, all choppy and gross.

Flapped around for a couple of hours trying to figure out why. The forums all seemed to say "oh your hardware is too old" which to me is not sensible since version 20 worked just fine and there was no obvious change with 21.1. Anyway I ended up having to remove 21.1 and reinstall 20.5. Because it was a downgrade all the settings, network shared etc where lost as well as all the plugins were gone.

Never fix something that is not broken!
