Well, look at what has arrived...
Courtesy of @nivrig, I have now acquired a very dirty Apple IIe.
This was rescued from a skip and the photos don't do the grime and dirt justice.

The power supplies in these old computers should always be recapped but...
I wanted to know if it had any other issues and I like to live dangerously.
Oh.

The big job is cleaning the keyboard keys which are absolutely disgusting and covered in a grimy crust.

The replacement capacitors arrive and it's time to solder them to the PSU.
The PSU is now back into the case of the Apple IIe.

Key caps back on as well!

Annnnnnnnd.... It works!
Well sort of! The Apple IIe now boots and is far cleaner than it previously was, however the keyboard absolutely does not work apart from pressing CTRL+RESET together which seems to reset the cursor onscreen.
A pin on the keyboard ribbon cable connector also broke off when trying to diagnose the issue but it had the issue before that occurred.
Any advice please?

@48kRAM @MuseumJoe Excellent! Thank you... I thought that it might have been the keyboard encoder. Unfortunately that one is out of stock but I've signed up for stock notification.
