Are you using Proxmox BackupServer?
It looks like the restore is easier. I have been using this solution since my beginning in Proxmox. But I havenβt had the βluckβ to test the restore yet :-) π€π»

My Proxmox is backed up locally using Proxmox Backup Server on a Synology NAS. PBSβs data is also backed up off-site to a remote Synology using Hyper Backup over Headscale/Tailscale. This setup ensures fast backup and restore with off-site security.
It might be overkill for home use. :-)
