Are you using Proxmox BackupServer?

It looks like the restore is easier. I have been using this solution since my beginning in Proxmox. But I haven’t had the β€œluck” to test the restore yet :-) 🀞🏻

@lucas3d @frenck totally agree on the backup server. I’m thinking of putting a second in a remote location and accessing it with tailscale

@MITREsteve @frenck Good plan!

My Proxmox is backed up locally using Proxmox Backup Server on a Synology NAS. PBS’s data is also backed up off-site to a remote Synology using Hyper Backup over Headscale/Tailscale. This setup ensures fast backup and restore with off-site security.

It might be overkill for home use. :-)
