i asked the staff if they were going to talk about old tombs or new ones and they said old so i might as well give it a try. i'm number 139 though, and they have a list of invited members too so that i'm not sure i'll have a seat…

With only ~200 people, how do you manage to fill all these professional events? Or is it just "you come to my seminar, and I'll join your conference."?
When I was an active neuroscientist on the mainland, I managed to attend about 3-4 events a year max.

oh, all conferences are open to the public ! even the meetings of the archaeological society. and people come. hundreds of people come. i arrived at 9 at the on-site conf this morning to be sure to be able to enter and i couldn't have a seat for the tombs symposium so i'm at the bashofu exhibition instead.
