A friend reminded me of this initiative in my region recently. It’s a way for us socialists who have been lucky enough to secure our OWN housing to literally invest in sustainable coop housing to benefit the community.
Imagine what could happen if every real estate transaction were topped up with a $500 share to invest in affordable housing for one of our neighbours.
