@protopop just bought it (again, already had it on Steam! π). It looks and works wonderfully on my phone!
I am a bit puzzled by the sword and the bow tho. Is combat planned?
Also, a bit of building a la Valheim would be soothing, I found a beautiful spot π

@lobau Thank you! Finding beautiful spots is probably my favourite thing in Wilderless. And after I launch Meadowfell on Steam, Wilderless is getting a 2.0 update with a bunch of improvements so you'll get those too. Yeah, there was combat and magic planned, I haven't out it in yet but it would be in a way that works with a generally peaceful world like this, and probably optional. I wanted to get the mechanics in early so I could get them working with gamepads from the start.

@protopop yeah I hear you, combat would change the game radically. I love what Eastshade did with their "no-combat Skyrim", and I thoroughly enjoyed finding beautiful places to paint and fill in requests and quests. Maybe a mechanics like this to create structure and encourage exploration could work. Congrats on the release!

@protopop I've been following your dev of this for ages, gobsmacked at how quickly some of the features and models came together. Just now installed and had a poke around and, honestly, the level of polish you've managed to pull off at that speed is incredible!

@dev_ric wow, thank you Ric. I think you know how challenging it is to put things together, and there's a lot of doubt that creeps in. I just keep saying follow my head, dont let it stop anything. so it's really encouraging to hear you put things this way. I see all the rough spots (and I know theres lots) so when someone sees the good in it, well, it's validating and I appreciate your eye and that you let me know:) And thanks for buying it - that helps me a lot too.

@protopop ha, I sure do. I really need to get back on to my own dev at some point. Playing with your world is giving me the itch again.
I had a good scroll through your settings screens too. Inspiring to see that you pass some of these on to the players to decide. I got so caught up in trying to optimise things like vegetation render distances that it never even occurred to me to make those details configurable. IK as an optional? Of course!
Curious what you'll jump into working on next.

@protopop looks good, but runs at 5fps when it doesn't crash on my Pixel 4a. I guess it's just an old phone, so I shouldn't try running modern 3d games on it.

@luboganev thank you for getting it. That kind of support really helps me. Keep making more games and improving these ones. And yeah it's definitely a heavy game. I have a pixel 4A also and I got it running at medium quality pretty well in it. Go to options Dash quality Dash optimize and see if any of these toggles help. And go to options β settings. β reset if you think any of the quality options have been set to high this will reset it to default.
