OpenStreetMap migrates to Debian 12: You may have seen this toot

announcing OpenStreetMap's migration to Debian on their infrastructure.

🚀 After 18 years on Ubuntu, we've upgraded the

@openstreetmap servers to Debian 12

(Bookworm). 🌍 openstreetmap.org is now faster

using Ruby 3.1. Onward to new mapping adventures! Thank you to the team for

the smooth transition.

@debian I moved to devuan at the moment you made systemd the default…

@nobrainnopain @debian systemd is definitely a marmite choice (love it or hate it). Systemd has served us well, the learning curve is steep but the feature set is great. Few example templates https://github.com/openstreetmap/chef/tree/master/cookbooks/systemd/templates/default That said systemd-resolved + dnssec is biting us at the moment.
