Is there a way of knowing if one instance has blocked another?

If you're in one of them, what happens when you try to respond to a post from the other?

@MalthusJohn I see a warning that it's blocked by the instance and get a "Do you really wish to continue?" message.

So my instance choice maybe was not so good?

I noticed that I can't engage with some accounts, but it does not align with the whole instance, and the user does not seem to have me blocked. (not really sure what that looks like either_)

Wait-- were you just speaking in general, or did you get that warning on my post / acct?
