I rode the #Amtrak #CaliforniaZephyr round trip from Denver to Sacramento twice this fall, so I have a lot of pictures! Here's a thread to share them. #trains

First trip was the first week of October. I was solo in a roomette, which you can see here just after I settled in while the train was still in Denver Union Station.

I brought a portable HEPA air filter and CO2 meter. I found my rooms on all four legs of my two trips to be reasonably well-ventilated—usually less than 1000 ppm.

As the westbound #Amtrak #CaliforniaZephyr switchbacks up the Front Range of the Rockies, it passes old freight cars planted with trees to provide a windbreak.
