I couldn’t agree more with this. I love #selfhosting and have ~15 services running ln my LAN, about half of which I wrote.

But it’s not a solution to our internet troubles any more than my brother builind his own lawn mower is the beginning of a solution to John Deere’s business practices.

Self hosting is an extremely fun hobby that, even if we get the right laws in place to solve our internet woes will just remain an extremely fun hobby. https://tldr.nettime.org/@tante/113527082578387916
