Canada would be wise re: global warming, but Costa Rica is warm and democratic now.

[#]MovingToCostaRica is an option I hadn't considered. I like how much easier it would be to get permission to live there.

Permanent residency in #Canada is almost impossible to get even when they aren't deliberately deliberately throttling down the number of immigrants, like they are now.

The heat would be difficult to tolerate, but maybe not as difficult being a visitor without the right to remain.
