God damn

15 minutes of jumping for parkour is all I could do before feeling pain in the left side of my list abdomen again

Idk what's up, I've taken it pretty lightly these past few weeks, and Saturday it again started hurting real quick...

I don't get it. The first month of cramps was hell but I was back at it after a week or resting (once it was over). This month (second) it never got that painful and it's been over a week of rest. Wtf is up?

I'm... Now wondering if this could be due to muscle mass loss?

Like since starting on gel, which has been the most successful hrt method for me, I haven't really been able to train, between cramps and rain. Could it be that my nearly month of little training hid how much muscle in losing in my abdomen, which was always terribly scrawny to begin with?

Is there any science on how E affects muscle loss in different parts of the body?

@GwenTheKween I suspect this is yet another reason there needs to be some public service health thingy: there is such a thing as having too little testosterone even as a woman. And sadly a lot of trans women are walking around with T-levels that are far below what is healthy for women to have. I suspect a lot of trans men are likewise with estrogen.

@FinalOverdrive that is true, but my last blood test (nearly 3 months ago) put me T at the ceiling of what we should be aiming for (50-55ng/dL I think but I could be wrong this is from memory).

If gel has been that incredibly efficient at suppressing T beyond what sublingual could do (along with Cipro, which I take 25mg/day per endo's prescription) that it looked my T from 50-55 to under 20 I would be very surprised.

I was planning on going for a blood test this week anyway, so I guess all the more reason to not delay

@GwenTheKween Just to be sure. It may be that what you have going is working too well.

@GwenTheKween If that is the case, talk to endo on what needs to be reduced.

@GwenTheKween Speaking for myself, I think I'll stick to injections. The sublinguals probably taste terrible and I don't trust the gels.

@FinalOverdrive mine didn't! It didn't taste like much but the was a faint sweetness to it.

That said if I could do injections I probably would... I just don't think I can do it weekly and wifey has been adamant that she won't be able to help either, so gels it is

@GwenTheKween I still don't like the idea of putting anything under my tongue. Just grosses me out.

@FinalOverdrive That's totally fair, and afaik, the steady hormone levels that injections give you is better than the spikyness of sublingual anyway, I'm not trying to convince you to change, just sharing my experience :)

@GwenTheKween I haven't even gotten that far yet. There's a lot I need to do, like get more independence from my mother and figure out how to budget and how much I can work without losing benefits. Nothing you need to worrying about, just Global North affluent disabled problems. But still frustrating.

Basically I'm lucky I don't have dysphoria. That means I can live with disappointment.
