My daughter is having a sleepover and two things flabbergasted me:

1. This girl is amazed that dads can play video games.

My heart is broken. Finally met this girl's dad and felt bad she had to go back. Kid calls herself stupid anytime she makes a mistake. Apologizes and minimizes herself over the smallest inconveniences she may have caused anyone. Her brothers are abusive to her and her dad was threatening to hit the boys while at my daughter's birthday party. While she was here she told me she loved our home. Said it was her new safe space.

@pixelkeen that’s so hard. it’s pretty great she feels safe in your home though and has a model of how things should be ☹️
