Not sure why this 3yr old post is coming up on #RStats (bridging from Bluesky syncs old posts too?) but this package by @milesmcbain for breaking pipe chains at the cursor would have come in handy this week - noting for future!

@HeathrTurnr (I saw this randomly on the programming feed.)
The user likely is uploading their old tweets to Bluesky, which usually backdates them. To Bridgy Fed these posts look new, so it'll happily broadcast them to fediverse followers with the user-specified date attached.
You can also see Bluesky posts that were created before bridging in some cases, but only if they are referenced by a new reply or boost for example (or by searching for their ID directly).

@HeathrTurnr @milesmcbain @load-dependent.bsky.social my hack for this is to put my cursor just before the pipe symbol, and hit Enter to move the pipe symbol temporarily to the next line. Then run the code up to where I broke the "chain".
