I'm about to move my home office to my detached garage, and I'm realizing that I won't be able to hear the front doorbell anymore. Does anyone have any recommendations for a “smart" doorbell that doesn't have terrible privacy issues?

@tedchoward
They use these wireless little assistance buttons at my grandma's house. One little clicker makes several devices throughout the house ring simultaneously. It's wireless and not internet connected.
Just look for wireless doorbells and make sure that it works with multiple base stations / ringers at once.
Then you can tape one over your actual doorbell, and as long as the wireless reaches, you can hear it in your office.
