@lioness uh, I mean, mainline lore says NHPs are the things that live in the caskets. Uplifted animals isn't really a thing.

But also, hey, GalSim imagines every reality so if you want uplifted animals there's not really a reason to say no either. Just not part of the intended setting

@lioness hell, I know for a fact Esocogs (Esoteric Cognitives, basically a true AI that can't be copied, was a way to let a player play a non-human) have escaped my touches of GalSim and at least one GM had run a game featuring one as a player.

So yeah, "no uplifted animals" according to the book, but who knows what's going on in other aspects of GalSim or reality
